![]() You really feel for J, the main character, and his identity and sexuality struggles. This is a great, deeply emotional manga that will rip your heart out and then hand it back to you.slowly. (And black people, but to be honest, I'd rather not talk about that scene.) I also love the Some Like It Hot references, because I've seen that movie!īesides being pop culturally aware, it's also racially aware, as in this is the first manga I've seen to include Jewish people. Anyway, I'm not that ignorant, so I can at least tell that it seems very authentic and well-researched. I sort of feel ashamed, just a little, that the author seems to know more about the pop culture of that day than I do, and it's my country. during the 50's-70's period, and it feels very accurate. ![]() ![]() The story is All About J (lol a pun, as that what my translation calls it), who is a crossdresser that loves, I mean LOVES Marilyn Monroe. Aaahh, it's just so AAAHHHH! 4.5 stars, okay? I can't quite give it five, but it's definitely 4.5. ![]()
